FLAGMAN DK 550 Jet

The advantages of the DK series

• Double-hulled design. The bottom is a separate structure and not a part of the cylinders. Such design allows to get a greater usable length and width of the vessel.

• Deep cockpit of 42 cm when the diameter of the cylinders is 43 cm provides comfortable seating of a skipper and passengers

• Great stability and little lateral pitch on turns.

• Unique body lines comparable with the ones of rigid vessels owing to a single bottom. As a result, the boats get high speed characteristics, navigability and excellent handling.

• Two spill valves providing rapid water withdrawal from the boat

• Four inflatable compartments and high boards of 60 cm ensure safety of passengers in open waters.

FLAGMAN boats EVOLUTION

The motto “LIFE IN MOTION” has a special meaning for our company. We believe that there is no success without continuous improvement. It’s time to let you see how our deeds correspond to our ideological values.

We are glad to present the newest development of our company: double-hulled boats with bottoms of various modifications.

A double-hulled boat is a unique development unlike any other inflatable vessel known in small-sized shipbuilding. The proof of this fact is the patent for the INVENTION issued by the Federal service for intellectual property and six patents for utility models.

A double-hulled small vessel consists if the upper inflatable U-shaped hull and the second lower inflatable hull that froms the shape of the bottom that can be flat, keeled, catamaran, trimaran, and canal-type.

Unlike other existing small-sized vessels, the double-hulled boat has a U-shaped inflatable upper hull connected with a lower hull around the perimeter down the line of the adjoining points (joint line).

The upper hull serves as full-height boards of the vessel and forms the area of the cockpit, and the lower body forms the deck of the vessel, and the body lines the bottom

The important point of the production technology is that the bottom is not installed into the cylinder, but it is attached (glued or welded) from below. The novelty of the proposed design is that the double-hull inflatable vessel reveals the possibility to design more technological lines of the bottom, as the designer can bring the idea to life to the full.

With the single bottom which is not cut off with cylinders as it is in the majority of the existing small-sized boats, the double-hulled vessel has no limit in opportunities of designing various bottom lines with the installation of partitions of different shapes in the lower part of the inflatable hull.

Let’s provide some examples:

The inflatable keel bottom of the double-hulled vessels may fit the outer vessel width. Such a design allows making any forms of the bottom lines, even those appropriate to the classic bottom lines of the rigid small-sized vessels, of course, adjusted for features of inflatable stressed shells. This includes the so-called gull wing, the launch-type bottom and many other types of bottom lines. With that, the bottom area allows you to set redans that will work in the planned range.

In this respect, there is one more important difference from other known vessels with low pressure bottom that is peculiar for all double-hulled boats, and we are talking about cylinders. In a double-hulled vessel, a cylinder can be limited with a minimal diameter that is necessary for the installation of the seats into the cockpit. As a rule, for convenience, boat seats are set to a height of 400 mm from the deck, respectively, the cylinder can have a diameter of at least 400 mm. The outer dimensions of the boat remain recognizable, for example 1800 mm. The width of the cockpit increases and becomes 900 -1000 mm.

In the known designs of inflatable boats, the cockpit width is about 800-840 mm. Since the cones of the cylinders in the double-hulled vessel does not play any role, they are always above the waterline of the boat. They even can be discarded and replaced by the cylinders with end caps. In such a way, we can increase useful length of the cockpit. With a width of the bottom 1700 mm, the stability of the boat is wonderful, and the lateral pitch is inappreciable.

Double-hulled vessels offer a unique opportunity of making a water flow tunnel for a water jet. In the lower hull, there is a possibility to make a deep tunnel without worsening its hydrodynamic properties. With the sufficient width of the lower tunnel hull, it is possible to create a compensation for the support necessary for movement water jet or with motor under the screw.

Double-hulled catamaran vessels do not need additional skegs, as they are designed with the lower hull in a single stressed shell. It allows producing cheap catamarans and trimarans of small sizes 300, 320, 330, 350.

All boats have two water drain holes on the transom piece. It became possible thanks to the sufficient depth of the lower hull.

Deep cockpit with a large area, universal lower hull, usual weight of boats with low-pressure bottom, affordable price, great navigability and speed characteristics are the reasons to believe that double-hulled small-sized vessels will gain the interest of our customers.
